A death at a home in Connelly Springs is being investigated.
Burke County Sheriff Banks Hinceman said deputies were conducting a death investigation on Mountain View Boulevard, off Laurel Haven Avenue, in Connelly Springs on Monday afternoon.Â
He said additional details were not available.
Witnesses told police people in two vehicles exchanged gunfire.
More than 2.2 pounds of methamphetamine was found in the man's home along with multiple firearms.
Police said explicit sexual images of juveniles were found on his cellphone.Â
April Dawn Travis, 45, is described as about 5-feet, 9-inches tall with brown hair and blue eyes.
The methamphetamine has a street value of $3.8 million.
