Eleven people were arrested on Tuesday, Jan. 7, in an operation by the Burke County Sheriff's Office, the U.S. Marshals Service and the N.C. Department of Adult Corrections.Â
The sheriff's office said the one-day operation targeted people with extensive criminal records.Â
The following people were arrested during the operation:Â
- Austin Michael Neece, 28, of Connelly Springs, was charged with safecracking, possession of a firearm by a felon, two counts of possession of a schedule II controlled substance, maintaining a vehicle/dwelling with a controlled substance, possession with intent to manufacture, sell or deliver a schedule II controlled substance and possession of stolen goods. He was held without bond.Â
- Emily Mostella, 26, of Morganton, was charged with five counts of larceny by employee. She was held without bond.

- Calvin Lafayette Duboyd, 70, of Morganton, was charged with possession of a schedule II controlled substance. He was held without bond.
- Douglas Edward Eugene Cook, 38, of Hickory, was charged with felony intimidate or interfering with a witness, second-degree trespassing, two domestic violence protective order violations and direct criminal contempt. His bond was set at $113,000 secured.
- Michael Dean Bollinger, 64, of Valdese, was charged with a second failure to appear for breaking or entering and larceny after breaking and entering. His bond was set at $50,000 secured.Â
- Austin Shaun Price, 25, of Hudson, was charged with flee to elude arrest with a motor vehicle, driving while impaired and failure to heed lights or sirens. His bond was set at $20,000 unsecured. A mugshot for Price was not available.
- Bobby Tate Cooke, 49, of Morganton, was charged with breaking or entering, larceny after breaking or entering, two counts of possession of stolen goods/property and larceny and injury to real property. His bond was set at $5,000 secured.Â
- Crystal Blackburn Denton, 37, of Connelly Springs, was served with a Catawba County warrant for possession of a schedule II controlled substance. Her bond was set at $5,000 secured.Â
- Scott Xiong, 30, of Hickory, was charged with possession of stolen goods and failure to appear for driving while license revoked. He was held under a $4,000 secured bond.Â
- Melissa Marie Yates, 40, of Valdese, was charged with misdemeanor failure to appear/failure to comply. Her bond was set at $1,000 secured bond.Â
- Elaynia Victoria Huffman, 41, Connelly Springs, was charged with failure to appear or comply. Her bond was set at $200 cash.Â
"These types of operations are conducted with our partners in collaboration with our federal, state and local agencies, working seamlessly together for the mutual good of our communities," the sheriff's office said.
The sheriff's office said it was thankful for assistance from the assisting organizations, including the U.S. Marshals Service, the N.C. Department of Adult Corrections, the Hudson Police Department and the Special Operations and Intelligence Unit K9.Â
